Presentato ad Albano laziale MrPACK , il cassonetto intelligente "mangia plastica" che, dialogando con gli utenti e gli operatori in modo semplice ed intuitivo, permette ai cittadini di poter conferire grosse quantità di contenitori per liquidi in plastica ricevendo in cambio buoni sconto, da spendere negli esercizi commerciali convenzionati. Sono quattro le macchine che, grazie al Comune di Albano e Volsca Ambiente , saranno posizionate sul territorio comunale in punti di grande affluenza. Tutta la plastica raccolta dalla macchina è plastica del cosiddetto "flusso C", quello di maggior valore per la filiera di recupero secondo gli ultimi accordi ANCI-CONAI. Il sistema di controllo identifica l'imballaggio tramite codice a barre e lo movimenta dentro la macchina verso uno dei cassonetti interni da riempire, passando dal primo all'ultimo ed avvisando l'azienda di raccolta quando è il momento di eseguire lo svuotamento, che avviene utilizzando un normale compattatore. MrPACK è uno strumento industriale a disposizione delle aziende di igiene urbana per migliorare la qualità della raccolta della plastica, garantire l'effettivo recupero dei materiali intercettati, ridurre i costi e premiare l'utilizzo da parte dei cittadini Il meccanismo è davvero semplice: per introdurre i contenitori per liquidi nella bocca di carico è sufficiente identificarsi con la propria tessera sanitaria, MrPACK legge il codice a barre dell'imballaggio e lo accetta solo dopo  averlo identificato. Infine MrPACK premierà i comportamenti virtuosi dei cittadini grazie ad Ecopunti : per ogni conferimento si accumulano direttamente sul proprio eco-contocorrente associato al codice fiscale buoni da spendere presso gli esercizi che aderiranno al progetto.

Quale tipo di energia si ricava dalla crosta terrestre? Cosa è corretto fare con gli oli vegetali esausti? Cosa si intende per spostamento multimodale? Sono giorni intensi per i ragazzi delle scuole coinvolte dal concorso "Ecoquiz: in missione per il Pianeta !" che si stanno sfidando a colpi di conoscenze ambientali sull'applicazione Ecoquiz, gioco educational sviluppato da Achab Group, con l'obiettivo di avvicinare i ragazzi a nuovi concetti in materia di rifiuti, mobilità, energia e sostenibilità ambientale. Sono tre i concorsi attivi in queste settimane su tutto il territorio italiano, un filo verde che parte dal bacino COVAR14 di Torino, passa per tutta la Provincia di Rieti e termina a Poggiomarino in Provincia di Napoli per un totale di 39mila partite giocate solo nei primi giorni di avvio del concorso. I ragazzi possono giocare partite singole, accumulando punti e scalando la classifica generale del proprio territorio oppure lanciare sfide con tutti gli utenti on-line per guadagnare un bonus di 100 punti e allenarsi il più possibile per vincere i fantastici premi in palio di ciascun concorso attivo. Si parlerà di questa pratica di gestione del rifiuto organico come opportunità per le amministrazioni e come soluzione di sostenibilità ambientale. Gli interventi in programma forniranno un aggiornamento ed un confronto sulle tematiche legate al compostaggio del rifiuto organico. Oltre alle prospettive e sviluppi del compostaggio del rifiuto organico, si parlerà di compostaggio domiciliare e di comunità con le testimonianze della Provincia di Rieti e del Comune di Villa San Giovanni in Tuscia, del quadro normativo regionale in termini di semplificazioni normative e finanziamenti nonché del valore del compost organico nell'agricoltura biologica. Achab Group parteciperà in qualità di relatore sul tema: "Il compostaggio di comunità e prossimità, la tecnologia Susteco".
